Die schottische Erfolgsautorin Marion Chesney kam am 10. Juni 1936 zur Welt. Sie entwickelte schon recht früh ein Interesse für die Schriftstellerei. Marion Chesney war mehrere Jahre in einem Glasgower Buchgeschäft angestellt, bis sie den Entschluss fasste, selbst schriftstellerisch tätig zu werden.
Chesney arbeitete als Redakteurin, Theaterkritikerin und als Chefreporterin bei einer britischen Boulevardzeitung. Ihre ersten Romane entstanden nach der Geburt ihres ersten Sohnes. Zum Leidwesen ihrer Fans ist die erfolgreiche Schriftstellerin, die unter verschiedenen Pseudonymen schrieb, am 30. Dezember 2019 verstorben. Sie wurde 83 Jahre alt.
